PS Plus Free Games for December 2022 Gives Fans Five Games
The PS Plus free games for December 2022 are Biomutant, DKO: Divine Knockout, and Mass Effect: Legendary Edition (which includes remastered, enhanced versions of Mass Effects 1, 2, and 3). While the other IPs are not bad but rather diverse, Mass Effect is a fantastic IP to conclude the year with. Fighting platformer DKO: Divine Knockout is a game that many fans may not be familiar with. PS Plus gives that instant community who check it out just because it’s there, which is a great help for multiplayer games that are less well-known. DKO may not be as well-known as Deep Rock Galactic, Fall Guys, or Rocket League, but it nevertheless enjoys success. Meanwhile, Biomutant offers the action RPG a second shot to win over PlayStation gamers. Numerous technical problems significantly hampered its introduction, but now that they’re essentially resolved, fans may discover something they can appreciate.
PS Plus will conclude 2022 with a selection of five games, three of which rank among the top in the market, a multiplayer game that will grow its audience, and a second chance to redeem a previously highly anticipated title. It’s a solid conclusion that portends well for the tone of the tier and the PS Plus free games in January 2023.
PS Plus Free Games for December 201 Gave Fans 2.5 Games
But given how December 2021 ended, the success of the PS Plus free games this month is stronger. You might make the case that Mortal Shell and LEGO DC Super-Villains are just as good as Biomutant and Divine Knockout, if not superior to them. But the main attraction is frequently the headliner, and in this case, the headliner only attracted criticism. According to Godfall reviews, it is a subpar game that can only compete with any Mass Effect title (though that could be said of a plethora of games). The “completeness” of it, or lack thereof, rather than the amount or quality, is what makes it worse.
Players of PS Plus instead received Godfall: Challenger Edition, a toned-down version of the game that was a “cut-price limited feature edition” that essentially only provided fans endgame stuff. Many people were put off by a looter where loot is handed rather than acquired, even to enter endgame content to earn it, especially since, once more, it was not a complete game. But Sony is now focused on the future and the past is history. The fact that December 2022 will have three games, as opposed to December 2021’s headline of just one game, suggests that a lesson has been learned.
Every game joining PlayStation Plus in December 2022 (so far)
Even though we just know a portion of PlayStation Plus’ December roster, the service has already received several substantial new additions.
This month, PS5 and PS4 users may download the Mass Effect Legendary Edition, which combines the remastered versions of Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3 into a single bundle, starting with the PS Plus Essentials. The Mass Effect trilogy, created by BioWare, is one of the finest RPG series in recent memory. It has endearing characters, thrilling action combat, and several possible outcomes depending on your choices throughout Commander Shepard’s galactic journey.
The multiplayer brawler Divine Knockout: Founder’s Edition and open-world action RPG Biomutant complete the PS Plus Essentials scheduled for December 2022, as if the full Mass Effect trilogy wasn’t already enough. Either game’s PS4 or PS5 version is available for download.
